Hello

Alecia Sperber is 26 years and has been teaching at Velocity for 8 years! She is one of the directors of Production, Boundless and the Limitless Dance Company.

My Story

Meet Alecia, one of Velocity Dance and Tumblings original dance instructors; cultivating confidence in students since 2017. She began her dance journey in Washington state at the age of 5, periodically dancing from then on out! Among two decades of studio dance experience, she has competed in several competitions from her high school and studio dance teams. Throughout her high school career she participated in 3 years of football cheerleading and 2 years of basketball Dance team, her senior year she was captain of football cheerleading and helped choreograph for Basketball dance team. She has had the opportunity to attend dance camps and conventions acquiring instruction from professionals in the dance world, along with invitations to nationals and the outback bowl. Just for Kix in 2015, Street of Dreams dance convention in 2016 alongside Alysea, Dance the world at Disney World in 2019 with our dance team as well as master classes and intensives are all in the books for Alecia. In 2018 she coached Pulse Minis, our performing dance team at the time and in 2019 she established Limitless Minis developing her choreography. She graduated from Iowa Wesleyan University with her Bachelors in Psychology and Minor in Studio Art. Alecia enjoys improving the lives of others. This can be shown throughout the endless community service acts she has given in her 14 years of Girl Scouts and the numerous community clean ups she has participated in her recent years. Alecia has completed over 400 hours of community service, not to mention reviving the highest honor, the Gold award! Movement can bring a sense of balance to one's life, and practicing yoga brought that to light. Some future goals for Alecia include developing artistic craft in different mediums, completing and attaining numerous yoga certifications, obtaining qualifications to practice yoga therapy as well as art therapy. Some of Alecia’s favorite ways to relax are painting with acrylics or watercolors, crafting, journaling, singing along to loud music, photography, enjoying nature and yoga.
