Looking for an instructor that has 10 years teaching experience, ongoing wellness education, and a desire to invest in her community? You've found her! Alexis grew up and developed most of her dancing and teaching experience in Seattle. She has been a Studio Production Assistant, Choreographer, and Head Coach of a long running National Champion school dance team. She loves science based dance curriculum, positive coaching, and teaching with intention. Alexis has a strong reputation in technique, creativity, while running a productive and whole program. The more she furthers her wellness education, the more cards she adds to her hand! Alexis now teaches several dance styles, poms/cheer, tumbling, salsa, yoga, pilates and there will be more classes to come! She is thrilled to be Velocity Dance and Tumbling's Director.
Alecia Sperber, lived in Washington state where she began her dance experience at age five, now resides in Hamilton with ten years of studio dance under her belt. Through her high school career she participated in 3 years of football cheerleading and 2 years of basketball Dance team, her senior year she was captain of football cheerleading and helped choreograph for Basketball dance team. Not only has she been active in the dance community - she has been active in her own communities. With 14 years of girls scouts Alecia has completed over 400 hours of community service, not to mention reviving the highest honor, the Gold award just last year. She is so excited to see how Velocity can improve the community of Fort Madison and how dance can influence others like it did her.
